The fiberglass is made by overlapping wet fiberglass and using a urea-formaldehyde adhesive to properly bind it all together. The mat then receives a coating of asphalt blended with a variety of mineral fillers to make the shingles waterproof. They are a good choice if you’re looking for style at a budget price. In our environment, they may last 15-20 years or more but can be vulnerable to high winds.

Additional features include: lightweight (240 lbs per 100²ft), fire-resistant, material warranty, not as expensive as other roofing materials, resistance to UV rays and durable. You can choose from Malarkey, Owens Corning or IKO brand shingles in a variety of colours.

We offer good, better and best options for shingles. The brands we use are all Canadian Standards Association (CSA) and Roofing Contractors Association of British Columbia (RCABC) approved with our installations following RCABC guidelines for residential shingle installations.
